I went out of my way to try this spot because many people were praising the Poutine. The owner was super nice and friendly, he definitely loves what he does. The Food: The fries were very undercooked, gorged in oil and bland tasting. The cheese curds melted, far from âsquish-squishâ if thatâs what your standard is. Take-out or delivery would be much worst. The sauce was good, definitely not your run of the mill poutine sauce. Closer in taste to gravy for a roast. Price: I found it very expensive. For two small poutines and two sodas it came to $49 including tip. The price wouldnât have shocked me if the servings would not have been so tiny. I rate MY experience a 3.5/5 *Disclosure: I went on a Saturday in the middle of the afternoon.

Service 100/10, André made my day with his warm energy as soon as I walked in. I immediately trusted him to pick my sandwich for the day and he delivered! A crispy chicken sandwich. Bread was great, and ingredients were perfectly balanced. The place is small inside but André will make you feel right at home. I hope I can make it back soon to try something else!
We hadnât planned to eat here but after a rental car debacle we needed to dine before hitting the road and sometimes in rough circumstances you get lucky. Small storefront restaurant (one table for 6 and a few stools facing a big wall menu chalkboard) serving really good food. We only had a classic poutine and hot dog near closing time and both were delicious and everyone we dealt with was pleasant and courteous. We ate inside as we were traveling but clearly many neighborhood folks were picking up their dinner. Closed pretty early though when we were there - 7:00 - so be warned.
Amazing food! Went for the first time with my boyfriend and we got the burgers and poutine. Everything is made in house and it was truly a great experience. Also was not expensive either fairly priced.
Itâs my first week in Montreal and my only regret is not walking into the place sooner. I eat out often but I can say without a doubt this was the best poutine AND burger Iâve ever had. The poutine has squeaky cheese curds and a rich gravy with just the right consistency. LâGros Gourmand burger is juicy, smoky, fresh and packed with flavour. Not to mention AndrĂ©, who took my order. We went to this restaurant for the first time and it won't be the last!! We ordered an all dressed pizza and a fish n chips! We did take-out! The food was absolutely delicious! The fish was nice and flaky, the fries have a nice sweetness to them and the pizza is amazing! The crust is perfect and the toppings were bountiful! The owner is super nice and funny! We really enjoyed chatting with him! We will definitely go back!
We were visiting from Kelowna BC with friends Sharleen and her husband and we were all definitely delighted with the choices along with the prices. The food was delicious, ! We choose the burger with the smoked meat, and a grilled chicken burger with Swiss cheese , a chicken burger and another which was a crispy chicken burger.
